Every business needs leaders. At Pleasant View Metropolitan District, we are guided by our Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of five elected officials who make decisions in the best interest of the Fire & Parks Departments they have been elected to serve. They are ultimately responsible for all staff and operations of the District.
Board members serve 4-year terms, and elections are held every other year. To be a Director, you must be registered in Colorado, own property in your natural name or reside within the District, and be willing to devote approximately 5 hours per month to board meetings and other events held by the District. Board members are paid a stipend of $100 per board meeting that occur monthly.

Joe Anderson | President
Joseph M. Anderson II has been a Pleasant View resident for 16 years and serves as President of the Pleasant View Metropolitan District. With more than 20 years of public service experience, including service with Adams County Fire Rescue and the City of Golden Fire Department, Joe brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to leadership. His background as a firefighter, business owner, and educator reflects his commitment to accountability, transparency, and responsible stewardship. Joe is passionate about strengthening the community by listening to residents, building trust, and ensuring decisions are made in the best interests of both current and future generations. He is honored to serve Pleasant View and remains dedicated to supporting the District’s continued growth and long-term success. |

Dariusz Piwko | Vice President
Dariusz Piwko has lived in the Pleasant View community since 2017. He is a career firefighter with Arvada Fire and volunteered with Pleasant View Fire Department from 2015 to 2026. In his free time, Dariusz enjoys spending time with his partner and their Dalmatian. Together they enjoy exploring the mountains and desert, rafting, dirt biking, and traveling. Dariusz is passionate about serving his community both as a firefighter and now as a member of the board, where he looks forward to helping support the continued success of the Pleasant View Fire Department and parks system for the benefit of the community.

West Pleasant View resident Jay Shaw and her family have proudly called the community home for the past 20 years. As a board member, she is honored to serve the friends, families, and neighbors who make the Pleasant View community such a special place to live. Jay is passionate about working collaboratively with the Fire and Parks Departments to develop thoughtful solutions and innovative ideas that support the community’s continued growth while preserving its peaceful character. She is committed to promoting a safe, sustainable, and welcoming environment where all residents can thrive. Outside of her community involvement, Jay enjoys spending time outdoors in nature, making memories with friends and family, and traveling to new places

Dave Bohrman has lived in Pleasant View for more than 20 years with his wife and two children. He brings experience in business leadership, communications, and governance, and is committed to supporting thoughtful long-term planning, financial stewardship, transparency, and strong community services for Pleasant View residents. Outside of work and board service, he enjoys spending time with family, trail running on Golden’s trails, grilling for friends, supporting youth sports, and traveling whenever possible.

Laura Cardon | Assistant Treasurer
Laura Cardon moved to Pleasant View with her family in 2020. She is the administrator and an EMT for Highland Rescue Team Ambulance District in Jefferson County. She's also a running coach and worked in communications for nonprofits for nearly a decade. Laura loves to run, garden, and meet her neighbors. Before being elected to the board, Laura also served as a volunteer firefighter with Pleasant View Fire Department.
