The Pleasant View Metropolitan District Fire Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Firefighter. The department has open full-time positions, and the need for an eligibility list, for the position of Firefighter to assist with daily shift staffing and assist to move the department into the future. The eligibility list will be good for 6 months.. The position is “at-will,” meaning the District or the employee may terminate the employment relationship at any time and for no reason. ​
Minimum Qualifications:

● Valid Colorado Driver's License with good driving history
● State of Colorado Firefighter I or transferable Certification
● State of Colorado Hazardous Materials Awareness/Operations or Equivalent Certification
● Colorado or NREMT Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B)
● NIMS IS-100,200,700 and 800

Preferred Qualifications:
● State of Colorado Firefighter II
● State of Colorado Driver Operator
● S130-S190-L180, Valid Pack Test 
● Completed Firefighter Task Book
● Two years of experience

​Equivalent experience or education may be considered at the discretion of the Fire Chief. The District reserves the right not to hire any of the applicants for the position at its sole discretion. Testing process will consist of a written exam and Physical Agility Test (valid CPAT within one year acceptable in lieu of PAT) and a panel interview.

I understand that my membership can be terminated, with or without cause, at any time at the discretion of either the Fire Chief or the Board of Directors. I also may terminate my membership after the required 2 years commitment, or after paying a prorated amount for any time not satisfied by the 2 year commitment.

    In consideration for my membership by the district, I agree to comply with the rules and regulations of the District set forth in the Policy and Procedure Manual. I acknowledge that these rules and regulations may be changed, interpreted, withdrawn, or added to by the District at any time, at the District`s sole option and without any prior notices to me.

    I understand that it is my responsibility to keep the Pleasant View Metropolitan District informed of changes in my application, including address, phone number membership availability, etc. I further understand that failure to keep any scheduled appointment without proper notice shall be considered just cause for disqualification. Should I desire to be reconsidered, it will require a new application to be filed during the next application period.
